The win takes the overall Sunbowls won by the Senior Stingrays to 7, making the rays the club with the most in Sunbowls in GQ history. A big Congratulations to the entire Stingray Organisation and the wins were a testament to everyones hard work.
Stingrays Visit Sick Kids
Some members of the Gold Coast Stingrays visited the Gold Coast Hospital Childrens Ward to meet with some sick kids and try to brighten up there day even just a little by visiting and handing out Stingrays merchandise. Members of the Stingrays community have been assisted in recent times by the Childrens Ward so the rays saw fit to give back. The Stingrays are hoping to make it an annual event and donate money where possible. The Stingrays are pictured below with Lochlan Bacon.

Stingrays Seniors take on the Rhinos and will look to come out firing having several keys players fully healthy after missing the last few weeks of the season. Stingrays Eagle will use the combination of fast offence and stingy defence to beat the Ravens. Games will take place at Ipswich with the Junior game kicking off at 12pm and the senior game at 4pm. Running Back Jeff "Pony" Moate was featured on the back page of the Tweed Daily (article can be viewed here). JIM MINOGUE
It is with great sadness that we advise that long time Stingrays Jim Minogue lost his 18 month battle with cancer recently. Jim (#51) has been a prominent member of the Stingrays for many years playing offensive guard not only for the Rays but also Queensland and Australia. Jim was also our Defensive Coordinator in 2005.
Most of all Jim was a good friend to many of us and he will be truly missed. He was a dedicated member of the Stingrays and his contributions to our great club on and off the field will always be remembered.
