About the Gold Coast Stingrays

The Gold Coast Stingrays Gridiron Club's team catchcry "STINGRAY PRIDE"; sums up what everyone associated with the club are all about. Pride in what we do on the field, pride in what we do off the field, and pride in how the 'Rays'; act in all aspects of our life.

And the Gold Coast Stingrays have a lot to be proud about! Our 20+ year history is filled with success both on and off the field.

We've played in 12 Sunbowls (Senior State Championships), winning 7 SUNBOWL Titles within that period, including the 2006, 2007 and 2008 titles.

At the Junior Level we've been even more successful, playing in and winning 6 Junior SUNBOWLS titles in the last 11 years, including a 4 Consecutive Championships in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008

The Stingrays have produced many home-grown players who have gone onto play representative football for Queensland and Australia, US Colleges and Semi Professional Teams. This has happened through the hard work and dedication on everyone involved within the club, from the passionate and talented players and coaches the Stingrays have had over their history, right through to the team's supporters and fans.

The Stingrays are located in Australia's number one holiday destination, Gold Coast City. The full contact season runs from late July through to mid November each year. The Stingrays always welcome new players to their full contact teams and if you want to join the Stingray family please contact us.

The Stingrays also host a FLAG (touch) Gridiron season every year starting in the last week of January and running through to late April. The FLAG competition is open to everyone, individual players or full team.
